Apple Crisp

You will need to have….

5 cups tart apples, peeled, cored, and sliced (about 12 apples)

2/3 cup sugar

3 Tablespoons flour

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 ½ cups brown sugar

1 cup butter, melted

1 ¾ cups flour

2 cups quick oats

Vanilla ice cream

 

 You will need to do….

  1. Preheat oven to 350°
  2. Place sliced apples in a 13×9 glass baking dish
  3. In small bowl, mix together sugar, 3 Tablespoons flour, and cinnamon
  4. Sprinkle over apples
  5. In large bowl, mix together brown sugar, butter,  1 ¾ cups flour, and quick oats until crumbly
  6. Sprinkle over apples in baking dish, pressing down to work crumb mixture into apples (dish will be very full)
  7. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until apples are tender, mixture is bubbly, and topping is browned
  8. Let cool at least 30 minutes before serving
  9. Serve with ice cream
